Delegation of NVCC greets Nitin Gadkari

Nagpur News : A delegation of NVCC led by Dipen Agrawal, President met Nitinji Gadkari, newly elected Member of Parliament from Nagpur. Dipen Agrawal greeting him with floral bouquet on his elevation as Union Cabinet Minister for Shipping, Road Transport and Highways extended best wishes on his birthday and said that under the dynamic leadership, guidance & vision of Narendraji Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister the country will get due justice to greater extents through his Ministry. He further said the newly formed Government has a challenging time ahead & importantly issues like inflation, corruption, dollar fluctuations, creation of jobs etc. has to be dealt with, he hoped for progress and al round development of the Nagpur city & since now the Ruling Party being in majority, formation of Vidarbha as a separate State should be done at the earliest.

Dipen Agrawal, President drew the attention of Nitin ji Gadkari to recent orders of Food & Drug Administration due to which the food item producers are in trouble as the department has issued notices to food item producers demanding filling of returns for the years 2012-2013 to Food & Drugs department & for non-filling of returns the department is demanding at Rs. 100/- Per day as penalty to amounting to Rs.36,500/- for one year. This order is unjustified & unreasonable. The producers are ready to submit the returns for the year 2012-2013 before 31.05.2014 but for non-availability of records they are experiencing hardships. He requested Nitin Gadkari ji to take up the matter & use his good offices with Dr. Harshwardhan, Union Health Minister & try to solve the problems of small producers like bakery, Ice cream, kulfi & papad makers etc. by waiver of penalty of Rs.100/- Per day.

After hearing above issues Nitinji Gadkari assured that he would ensure early completion of Mihan, & all round development of Nagpur city. He appraised the delegates that he will take up the matter of problems of food vendors by Food & Drug Administration with Dr. Harshawardhan, Health Minister at New Delhi.

He also requested that a delegation of NVCC to come to New Delhi so that it would be easy to explain the details of FSSAI to Health Minister.

Dipen Agrawal, President thanked Hon’ble Minister for sparing his valuable time & to have met the delegates of the NVCC & further confirmed that a delegation led by himself with Nilesh Suchak, Past President & Bhavanishankar Dave, Convener, Food Sub Committee shall come to Delhi to ensure waiver of unjustified penalty to small food vendors at the earliest.
