Deepika claims, Padmaavat’s collection gonna be earth-shattering!

Deepika Padukone’s controversy-ridden film Padmaavat will finally release today. The movie continues to be unofficially banned in multiple cities across the country, but the cinema halls which have decided to screen it have been given tight security by the police. With the hype around the film, it can be safely assumed that the movie will create box-office records. But with the restricted screening, there is a big chance that the movie might lose out on big bucks. Though, Deepika remains confident that Padmaavat will do a phenomenal performance at the box-office. She spoke to the media at the HT Most Stylish awards last night and said, “I am not someone who has ever been excited about the box-office numbers, but I have to say that this time I am because I think it’s going to be earth-shattering.”

Deepika was awarded India’s Most Stylish award last night. She was looking pretty in a pink Benarsi silk saree that she topped with a gold choker necklace. She wore her hair in a bun which quickly drew attention to her beautiful, long neck.

Talking about the release of Padmaavat, Deepika looked splendidly excited. While addressing the media, she said, “We are very excited for the release of the film tomorrow. It’s a big day for all of us. It’s extremely overwhelming, extremely emotional and I am very excited, because like I said the film has been through so much. On behalf of the entire film, we want to thank all of you for being so supportive of everything we have been through. Now, it’s time for us to celebrate and see the film do wonders at the box-office now.” We wish the team Padmaavat all the luck in the world.

Padmaavat has been directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor alongside Deepika. The movie has been a target for fringe groups like Shri Rajput Karni Sena ever since it went on floors. The protests against the release of the film are still going on resulting in some cinema halls declining to screen it.
