Nagpur: In a shocking incident that has raised serious concerns over law and order, a police officer was brutally attacked during a routine patrol in the Kalamna police station area of Nagpur city. The accused not only stabbed the officer but also fled the scene after snatching a police Bullet motorcycle.

According to preliminary information, PSI Sachin Waklekar was on patrol duty near the Deputy Signal area along with a Home Guard personnel. During the patrol, a group of youths approached them, claiming they had apprehended a suspicious individual and sought police intervention. However, as soon as the police stepped in, the situation took a violent turn.

One of the accused suddenly pulled out a knife and launched a fierce attack on PSI Waklekar, leaving him injured. Taking advantage of the chaos, the Accused managed to snatch the police Bullet motorcycle and escape from the spot.
The injured officer was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, acting swiftly, the police launched a search operation in the area. Based on CCTV footage, three accused have been detained. Initial reports suggest that the suspects are from Madhya Pradesh and were working as laborers in Nagpur.Further investigation in the case is currently underway.
