Nagpur: An employee of Kanak Resource Management, contracted by NMC to lift and dispose of garbage in city, was on Thursday shocked to find a dead infant thrown into his garbage dumping vehicle.
According to police, the employee Sanjay Panjabrao Jevane (42), resident of Plot No. 355, Garoba Maidan, Nagpur, was lifting garbage and dumping it in his vehicle as usual in Mire Layout in Nandanvan. However, upon a close scrutiny of the garbage, Sanjay Jevane found a dead infant, wrapped in papers, thrown into his vehicle. The appalled Sanjay rushed to Nandanvan Police Station and lodged a complaint in this connection.
Nandanvan API Ghodke booked the unidentified accused under Section 318 (Concealment of birth by secret disposal of dead body) of the IPC and searching the person(s) to crack the case.
