Nagpur: A dairy development training programme was organised for class X students of NMC-run schools on Monday. The event was organised by Vasant Foundation under ‘Nayi Talim’ programme of HRD Ministry’s Mahatma Gandhi Gramin Shikshan Parishad, Hyderabad. Various programmes were being organised from September 26 to October 2 to mark 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Present on the occasion were dairy development expert Mohan Shrigiriwar, Vasant Foundation’s Dr Ashok Bawde, Pradeep Bhoyar, Education Officer Sandhya Medpalliwar, Coordinator Sandhya Pawar, Assistant Education Officer Kusum Chaplekar and others.
Highlighting the benefits of dairy development, Shrigiriwar threw light vital aspects on how a professional could become ‘crorepati.’ He dwelt on how to use milk, its utility, how a cow is useful, how a person could do business out of cow milk, dung and urine. He also informed the students about milk adulteration and its ill effects. Other experts also guided the students on how tests are carried for nutritious qualities of milk and other aspects.
The experts answered the questions raised by students.
