Dacoity at petrol-pump; Rs 1.5 lakh looted

hudNagpur: In an incident of dacoity that was committed on the night of Aug 2 under Hudkeswar police station, some 5-6 unidentified dacoits stormed at Besa petrol pump, beat the chowkidar, seriously injured another worker and looted Rs 1.5 lakh under threat.

According to police, Shivani Ankush Mendiratta, resident of Seminary Hills, owns a petrol pump at Besa, just opposite Bank of India branch.

The unidentified dacoits armed with lethal weapons forced their entry into cash-counter, beat the chowkidar and cash-clerk, Sanjay Gajbhiye by hitting him hard on his head and took away Rs 1.5 lakh from the cash-counter, and then fled the spot with a D-zire car. The incident was immediately reported to police which came into action to reach the spot.

The petrol pump manager Vikas Pali was contacted and he confirmed the incident. As the entire incident is recorded in CCTV, the police has registered a case, is thoroughly investigating the case.
