Dacoits strike at lady teacher’s house in Koradi, loot booty worth Rs 2.38 lakh

Nagpur: A gang of dacoits struck at a lady teacher’s house in Koradi area and looted booty worth Rs 2.38 lakh including cash and jewellery after taking her and parents hostage. The dacoity occurred in the wee hours of Wednesday. Cops have mounted a hunt to nab the gang of dacoits.

According to police, the victim teacher Sneha Raghuji Daf (27) stays with parents at Plot No. 125, Bajrang Nagar, near Ramnath City on Koradi Road. Around 2-2.30 am on Wednesday, a gang of five dacoits struck at Sneha’s house by smashing the central locking system. The desperadoes first took Sneha and her parents hostage and then looted cash and gold jewellery collectively valued at Rs 2.38 lakh kept in a steel almirah. After robbing the Daf family, the dacoits fled the spot but not before doling out a threat that if they inform police about the incident the consequences will be dire. However, soon after the dacoits left, Sneha alerted Koradi police.

Cops have registered a case of robbery and launched a hunt to apprehend the gang.
