Cyclist knocked dead in Civil Lines area

Nagpur News : Sadar police booked an unknown car owner for striking into a cyclist and resulting in his death on Sunday late night. Police is yet to establish identity of the deceased. The incidence took place in Civil Lines areas.

According to the commuters, a youth in his late 20s, was heading from VCA Square to Japanese Garden Square on his bicycle at around 10.10 pm on Sunday. A speedy silver coloured Ritz car dashed into the cycle in front of Railway Quarters and sped away from the spot leaving the youth in a pool of blood. Commuters informed Sadar police about the incidence who rushed to the spot and performed panchanama.

The body was sent to Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital for post mortem. Cops have launched search for the ‘killer’ car driver after registering an offence under Section 304 (a) of the IPC.
