Nagpur: In a successful operation, the Anti-Narcotics Squad of Nagpur Police arrested two drug peddlers Yogesh Jagat Singh Thakur and Ram Kumar Manoj Patel for possessing 400 grams of ganja on September 3. The accused were caught during a surveillance operation based on reliable information. A body search revealed Rs 450 cash and ganja worth Rs. 8,450.
Further questioning led to the revelation of another accused, Majeed, involved in buying and selling narcotics. A case was registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, and the accused were handed over to Dhantoli police for further action.
The operation was conducted under the guidance of senior officials, including Deputy Commissioner of Police Rahul Maknikar and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Abhijit Patil. The search for other accused is ongoing.
