CP Sharda Prasad Yadav transferred, Dr K Venkyatesham is new Commissioner of Police of Nagpur

Nagpur: After months of rumours of his transfer, Commissioner of Police Sharda Prasad Yadav has finally received his transfer. Dr K Venkyatesham who is an Indian Police Service Officer of 1988 Batch is new Commissioner of Police of Nagpur. He is an IPS Officer from the Maharashtra Cadre. Dr K Venyatesham was holding the post of Additional Director General of Police (Training and Special Units), Maharashtra.

Commissioner of Police Sharda Prasad Yadav will be taking charge of Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), Maharashtra.

CP S P Yadav’s efforts to make the city crime free

During his reign in Nagpur, Commissioner of Police S P Yadav had initiated many new policing techniques; many positive changes were brought into effect. He improved the relationship between Police and the Citizens. The Police Mitra had many advantages and yielded results in crime detection and crime prevention.

The strong stance he took in dealing with goons and criminals by slapping the stringent MCOCA against these goons made the citizens sigh with relief. Nagpur was finally safe. The deterrent result of enforcing the stringent MCOCA against goons made other goons flee the city or quit committing crime.

He had also initiated the move of enforcing every individual police station to make dossiers against the known offenders which enabled the cops to identify habitual offenders and penalize them.

Commissioner of Police S P Yadav encouraged all the Police Stations to start a whatsapp group, account in facebook and twitter to project the right image of the Nagpur city police and to display the news of their efficient policing. The whatsapp group of each police stations helped maintain good relationship with the masses.
