CP appeal city’s business persons funds for CCTVs

Nagpur News : To get hold on the street crimes in business areas and get identification of the culprits, city police chief K K Pathak has appealed the business persons to primarily fund at least 25 surveillance cameras to install in the city’s market area.

In an interactive session with the city’s business persons organised by Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce at their Temple Bazar road office, Pathak said that though they will be soon sending a memorandum to the government for CCTVs installation at market area, it takes time to implement and thus he appealed the business people to come fore with the funds which will help them for their safety.

In the session, Dipen Agrawal, president of NVCC focussed the problems faced nowadays by the business persons. Besides installation of CCTVs, Agrawal said that police patrolling should be increased at important business locations like Itwari, Sarafa, Sitabuldi main market road, Dharampeth, Sadar and other areas.

He also bring fore the traffic problems faced by customers and the traders as well in the busy market areas and later the harassment by the traffic cops who took away the vehicles parked in non-parking area.

He pointed out to extend the timing of eateries instead of 11.30 to at least 1 pm. “The FL III license for the sale of liquor is 1.30 but not of eateries. A person needs food and not liquor till late night,” said Agrawal.
