Couple from Pakistan robbed of booty including Pakistani currency; two burglars arrested

Nagpur: An elderly couple from Pakistan was robbed of booty including Pakistani currency when they were travelling in a bus on way to Hinganghat. Two burglars have been arrested in the case.

The victim, Sadarang Jivandas Katiyar (68), native of Jelasbazaar, Askana, District Muskanahind, Pakistan (presently staying at Plot No. 123, Shikshak Colony, Kalamna) along with wife, was going to Hinganghat. Both, Sadarang and his wife, were travelling from Indore to Hinganghat via Nagpur in a bus after coming from Pakistan. However, when the couple de-boarded the bus at office of Hansa Travels on Mokshadham Road and opened their bag, they found clothes, gifts, dry fruits, medicines and cash of Rs 30,000 in Pakistani currency missing. The booty, collectively worth Rs 74,000, was stolen by the accused Mayansingh Babulal Mewad (30), Suresh Kesarchand Mewad (26), both residents of Sujalpur (Madhya Pradesh), and their one accomplice. After finding the material and cash missing, Sadarang immediately lodged a complaint with Ganeshpeth Police Station.

PSI Gadge and his team swung into action and succeeded in arresting the two accused Mayansingh Mewad and Suresh Mewad on the charges under Section 379 of IPC. Cops are searching for their accomplice.
