A crooked couple duped a 38-year old man to the tune of Rs 2,50,000 in a car deal. The accused couple runs an auto consultant agency in Wadi area through which the fraudulent deal was done. The accused husband-wife duo has been booked.

According to police, the accused couple Ramesh Laxman Rudrarak (35) and Chhaliya Ramesh Rudrarak, residents of Wadi, Nagpur, negotiated a deal to sell the second hand Tata Aria car to Amol Hiraman Dhoke (38), resident of Quarter No. 47, HIL Defence Area, Bhadravati. The deal was negotiated through accused couple’s Balaji Auto Consultancy, located at MIDC Turning, and was fixed at Rs 2,50,000. The car deal was negotiated over a period from September 2013 to March 3, 2015. However, the accused couple did not give possession of the Tata Aria car to Amol despite receiving the deal amount of Rs 2,50,000 through cheque. The accused even did not return the money. In this dubious way, the accused husband-wife duo breached the agreement and also duped Amol Dhoke to the tune of Rs 2.50 lakh.

Wadi Senior PSI Kutemate, acting on the complaint filed by Amol, has booked the accused couple under Sections 406, 420, 34 of Indian Penal Code and investigating the matter further.
