Nagpur News : Many a time, routine patrolling also leads to detection of crimes, and sometimes major ones like NDPS offences and others.
On July 17, Ganeshpeth police, while patrolling near Santra Market, Eastern Railway Gate, found a three-wheeler auto parked suspiciously near Natvar Transport, bearing no. MH 31/M/2148.
The said auto was carrying country liquor. The vehicle was in possession of driver, Rupesh alias Sonu Naresingh Thakur, 24, a resident of, Surendragarh, Deepak nagar, Gittikhadan, Nagpur.
Police took the auto driver in custody and seized country made liquor packed in five plastic bags. The total quantity of liquor seized is 250 litre valued at Rs 25,000/ and 2 plastic boxes with liquor valued at Rs 5000/ The auto valued at Rs 15,000/ has also been seized.
Ganeshpeth police registered offence under section 65(F) (A).
The action was carried out under direction of senior police inspector, Nandanvar by police constable Madhukar Shirke, Pravin Gorate, Tappulal Chute and Nilesh Ghiwad.
