Cops raid online gambling club in Wardhaman Nagar

Nagpur: Acting on secret information, Lakadganj police raided an Online Gambling Club being operated from a house in Wardhaman Nagar and arrested a student and his 12 employees. The raiding cops have seized 105 mobile phones from the club.

According to police, they received information that the accused student Ankush Panjwani (22) was running Online Gambling Club from his Wardhaman Nagar residence. On the basis of tip-off, cops raided the house. Ankush Panjwani was arrested. Cops further said that the accused Ankush used to provide his clients 1000 coins for Rs 60,000. With these coins, the clients would indulge in gambling. Ankush also used to run a software for the online gambling.

The raid was conducted by Lakadganj PI Santosh Khandekar, PSI Praful Gadekar, ASI Rathod, head constables Ajay Rode, Satish Pande, Sunil Thavkar and other staff under the guidance of DCP Rahul Maknikar.
