Nagpur: Acting on secret inputs, the Social Security Wing of Crime Branch on Thursday raided a beauty parlour and spa salon in the posh locality of Laxmi Nagar and busted sex racket being operated by four persons including two women. The raiding cops have rescued four young women who were lured and forced into flesh trade by the four accused.
The sleuths of Social Security Wing had received tip off that a high-profile sex racket was thriving at Merlin Streaks Spa & Family Salon, Gujar Apartment, West High Court, Laxmi Nagar under the garb of beauty and massage parlour. To confirm the information, cops kept a close watch and even sent decoys as customers. Once confirmed, a team of Social Security Wing led by PI Shubhada Sankhe and comprising APIs Amita Jaipurkar, Sanjivani Thorat, Pandurang Nikure and other staff raided the salon between 4 and 7.30 pm on Thursday (August 24). The raiding cops found the four accused namely Durga Sanjay Ashtankar (40), a resident of Flat No 201, Rajat Regency, Anna Baba Nagar, Mankapur, Subhangi Dinesh Katriwar (22), a resident of Govindraj Residency, Besa, Beltarodi Road, Hudkeshwar, Rajesh Chintaman Sasankar (49), a resident of Bajrang Nagar, and Chakradhar Dattuji Anjankar (38), a resident of Vena Nagar, Satgaon, Butibori, taking money from high-profile customers and making available young girls for flesh trade.
The cops immediately placed the four accused under arrest and also rescued four young girls who were lured and pushed into the sex racket. The accused were booked by Bajaj Nagar police under Sections 3, 4, 5 and 7 of Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA) and Sections 370 and 34 of the IPC.
