During routine patrolling, the police personnel of Ganeshpeth Police Station saw three minor youth falling in the age group of 12 to 14 years moving suspiciously near the Gandhisagar Lake. The DB Squad personnel took the kids under confidence and questioned them.

During the questioning the cops found out that they have stolen a Honda Activa two-wheeler. However, when the youth were frisked, the cops found keys of 6 to7 two-wheelers which they used to open old Honda Activa two-wheelers. If the key opens any Honda Activa two-wheeler, one of them used to ride the vehicle and leave it anywhere else. In this manner, the youth had managed to steal 6 Honda Activa two-wheelers. The cops managed to pick-up and seize all the stolen vehicles from the spot where the youth used to desert them. After seizing the vehicles, the Honda Activa two-wheelers were deposited with the Ganeshpeth Police Station.

A total of Rs 2,20,000/- (Vehicle’s cost) was recovered from the youth.
The above action was undertaken under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Sudhir Nandanwar by Assistant Police Inspector Anil Taksande, Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Pradeep Nagre, Rajesh Tapre, Umesh Tonge and Ashish Bahal.
