Nagpur: The Anti Narcotics Cell of Nagpur Crime Branch arrested two drug peddlers with 11.83 grams of MD drug worth Rs 1.18 lakh from Kumbhar Toli, Nandanvan area here, on Thursday.
The accused have been identified as Mukesh alias Nanhe Vivek Sankale (34), a resident of Juna Bagadganj, Kumbhar Toli, Nandanvan, and Akshay Gajanan Yevle (29), a resident of Ganpati Nagar, Gumthala Colony, Mauda.
According to police sources, the sleuths of the Anti Narcotics Cell were on patrol duty when they intercepted two youths. After becoming suspicious of them, they interrogated them about their whereabouts, and upon checking, the cops found MD drugs in their possession.
An offense under relevant sections of the NDPS Act was registered at Nandanvan Police Station. Further investigation is ongoing.
