Nagpur: While leading a helmet drive, PSI Vijay Gire, Traffic zone 4 met with a misfortune, when a speeding Bullet bike knocked him over near of KDK College on Tuesday.
PSI Vijay Gire was leading a helmet drive in between Jagnade Square and KDK College. Around 10.30 am, a bullet driven by Mohammad Ibris without helmet approached KDK College Square. In a failed attempt, when Gire tried to stop the bike, rather than slowing it down Ibris with full thrust move towards him which resulted in a mishap. Where Ibris suffered minor injuries, PSI Gire sustained severe factures on his body on this occasion.
Subsequently Gire was first rushed to private hospital on Jagnade Square later he was admitted in Orange City hospital.
Nandanvan police has booked accused driver Mohammad Ibris.
