Constable, JCO arrested in army recruitment paper leak scam, CBI conducts raid at 4 places

Nagpur News : Keeping the track on leak of army recruitment exam paper, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two people and conducted raids at four places  on Wednesday.

Arrest accused are identified as Constable Vena Reddy and Junior Commissioned Officer, Aftab Alam, both residents of Army Quarters, Ganesh Tekli Road. CBI team also conducted raid at their quarters. At Gondia, Roshan Tidke’s house and other person named Naseem’s house was searched.

The Nagpur CBI team under supervision of SP Sandeep Tamgadge also conducted search operations at Army recruitment office near Central Railway station. PI Pradeep Lande with his team support successfully seized documents related to army recruitment exam from all the places of alleged accused.

On February 2 during the Indian Army recruitment exam for the post of General Duty Soldier, the CBI team had conducted raid at Insitute of Science College. CBI personnel had checked mobile phones of around 1400 candidates appeared for the exam. The CBI had received information that the answers were being sent by SMS to some candidates.

An offence was registered by CBI Nagpur after the question paper leak came to fore. This leak had brought several army officials involved in the scam.
Till CBI team were busy interrogating Reddy and Aalam. Both were produced in the court on Thursday.
