Conference on “Bharat’s Leap in Space & Defence: Atmanirbharta to Global Leadership” at PCE Nagpur

Nagpur: The Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Priyadarshini College of Engineering (PCE), Nagpur, successfully inaugurated the AICTE–ATAL VAANI Sponsored Bilingual National Conference on “Bharat’s Leap in Space & Defense: Atmanirbharta to Global Leadership” on November 12, 2025 at the Priyadarshini Campus, Hingna Road, Nagpur. The conference is being conducted from November 12 to 14 in offline mode from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm.

The inaugural function commenced with a warm welcome and lighting of the lamp ceremony in the august presence of dignitaries. The Chief Guest for the event was Ujwal Bambel, Indamer Technics Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur, and the Guest of Honour was Er. Amar Nath Ojha, Aircraft Structural Engineer, Indamer Technics Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur. The ceremony was graced by Dr. Vivek Nanoti, Director (Engineering), LTJSS, Dr. S. A. Dhale, Principal, PCE, and Prof. G. M. Asutkar, Vice Principal, PCE.

The conference is coordinated by Dr. Chandrashekhar N. Sakhale, Head, Department of Aeronautical Engineering, and co-coordinated by Dr. Vishal Kaushik. This year, the conference received an overwhelming response from across the nation, with 72 participantsregistered for the event. Academicians, researchers, and industry professionals from all over India have contributed research papers and are actively participating in the discussions, reflecting the growing academic and industrial interest in India’s progress in space and defense technology.

The inaugural day featured three highly informative technical sessions:

Session I: Aircraft Structure Engineering by Er. Amar Nath Ojha

Session II: Recent Transition from Unguided to Guided Smart Ammunition by Dr. Hemant BWarkad

Session III: Rocket Propulsion and Shock Interaction in Earth’s Atmosphere by Sandeep Aware.

These sessions provided deep insights into India’s technological advancements and its journey towards Atmanirbharta in the fields of aerospace and defence. The Department extended heartfelt gratitude to the Management of Lokmanya Tilak Jankalyan Shikshan Sanstha (LTJSS), Chairman Dr. Satish Chaturvedi, Secretary Abha Chaturvedi, Director, Governing Board Dushyant Chaturvedi, and Sheeetal Chaturvedi for their visionary leadership, encouragement, and continuous support, which make such academic initiatives possible.

The conference continued on November 13 and 14 with further expert sessions, paper presentations, and interactions aimed at highlighting India’s transformation from Atmanirbhar Bharat to Global Leadership in Space and Defence.
