Con couple cheats job-seeking woman of Rs 6 lakh

Nagpur: A con couple lured a 40-year old woman of providing her peon’s job in a government institute and usurped over Rs 6 lakh from her. The accused couple neither provided her job nor returned her money.

The accused couple identified as Dipaveni Shankar Konder (45) and Shankar Konder (50), both residents of Khasaratoli, Kamptee, lured Laxmi Raju Gandalwar (40) of Misal Layout, Jaripatka, with a job of peon at Bharatiya Vidya Niketan, a government-run institute. The con couple took Rs 6 lakh from Laxmi from time to time during the period from 1.4.2015 to 5.11.2016 for the favour. However, the job-seeking Laxmi was neither provided the job nor returned her money by the accused Konder couple.

Based on Laxmi’s complaint and subsequent investigation, Jaripatka API I S Hanavate has registered an offence under Sections 420, 34 of the IPC against the accused husband-wife duo and launched further probe.
