Nagpur News: The scheduled concert of the rapper Ala pop singer Yo Yo Honey Singh, to be held onAugust 10, has hit the biggest stumbling block. The District Collector Saurabh Rao has told a Shiv Sena delegation that no permission will be given to the organizers of the concert to hold the programme at the Indoor Stadium of the Divisional Sports Complex in Mankapur.

A delegation of Shiv Sena under the leadership Karan Tuli, Deputy President of Nagpur District Unit of the party, met the District Collector and submitted a memorandum to him. The Shiv Sena leader urged the Collector to deny permission to the organizers of the Honey Singh concert. The Collector assured the delegation and said, “The District Administration had neither given the permission nor will give it to the organisers. I have talked with the Police Commissioner K K Pathak. He has also said that no police protection would be provided for the concert,” the Collector said. The information in this regard was given to Nagpur Today by Karan Tuli.

The Shiv Sena’s memorandum submitted to the Collector says, “A concert of vulgar rapper Ala pop singer Yo Yo Honey Singh is being organized in Nagpur on August 10. Several FIRs against the singer have been filed in various cities. A concert of the singer supposed to be held in Vadodara in Gujarat was cancelled by the Administration there. The artist has sung several objectionable songs. Shiv Sena strongly opposes his concert in Nagpur and the Sikh community is also against him. The concert can create a law and order problem. Shiv Sena urges you to not to give permission to the organizers of the concert and cancel it.”
