Nagpur: Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis sanctioned 91 crore for new ‘L’ shaped building for Nagpur District and Sessions Court here. The proposal submitted by District Bar Association (DBA) was long pending with the government.

The DBA during its installation ceremony on March 22 last year, where CM was chief guest, had requested him to sanction funds as the new building was badly needed to accommodate rising strength of lawyers and litigants.

The DBA office bearers — including President Prakash Jaiswal, secretary Nitin Telgote and Uday Dable — had even visited Mumbai to push for their demand. Jaiswal informed that the DBA would felicitate Fadnavis for keeping his words.
