Nagpur: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, during his ‘Janata Darbar’ in the city on Saturday, was flooded with a staggering 1500 complaints submitted by common people and delegations. During 3-hour meeting, held at Hyderbad House, Fadnavis listened to various grievances of individuals and delegations.
Among the grievances and memorandums submitted to the Chief Minister pertained to a martyrs’ memorial at Motala Pimpri in Buldana District, problems of common citizens and Walmiki community in Digras, educated unemployed, project-affected people, Soni Samaj Mitra Mandal, retired servicemen, Gosekhurd, MIHAN-project affected people, and other several organizations, institutes etc. The representatives of concerned organizations and Corporators Chetana Tank and Munna Mahajan personally met Fadnavis and apprised him on various problems.
The delegation of Soni Samaj Mitra Mandal demanded a postage stamp in memory of Sant Narhari Maharaj while another delegation demanded land at the premises of Mental Hospital on lease basis. A delegation demanded stern action against a company for duping a number of educated unemployed youths. Removal of encroachments in Dharampeth area was also sought by a delegation. Retired servicemen submitted a memorandum demanding relief in Property Tax.

A senior citizen drew the attention of the Chief Minister towards stray animal menace in a park owned by Nagpur Improvement Trust and Nagpur Municipal Corporation. The stray animals enter the park in large number due to lack of safety wall around the park putting senior citizens strolling in the park to lot of hardships, lamented the senior citizen in his grievance.
Other dignitaries present at Chief Minister’ ‘Janata Darbar’ include Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, MLA Vikas Kumbhare, Mayor Pravin Datke, District Collector Sachin Kurve, NIT’s Superintending Engineer Sunil Gujjalwar, Special Executive Magistrate Asha Pathan, Deputy District Collector Nishikant Suke and other officials.
