Giving a fresh push to the proposed Nagpur-Mumbai 6-lane Express Way, the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday directed the concerned district collectors to work upon its various prospectives. The development is crucial to this ambitious project as the formation of Express Way would bring the travelling time from Nagpur to Mumbai, down to 8 hours against the existing 16 hours slot.

Interacting with the officials through video conference on Wednesday, Fadnavis advocated for a comprehensive and indepth planning of the proposed project, taking into account development of agro-processing nodes.

Maharashtra Ministers Eknath Shinde and Pravin Pote Patil were also present at the meeting.
The expressway will comprise six lanes of super communication highway and two lanes of service roads, utility shifting, bypass and other structures.
