NAGPUR: The MLAs of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena continued to cross swords on the floor of the State Assembly on the second day also over the Nanar project proposed in Konkan region.

Chief Minister Devendra Phadnavis had already declared in the House that the project wouldn’t be forced upon the Konkan region.

Leader of Opposition in State Assembly Radhakrishna Vikhey Patil however alleged that the CM had betrayed the people of Konkan.

Talking to reporters, Patil said that on one hand the CM told that the project wouldn’t be forced upon the people of Konkan while on the other the Central government was busy signing memorandums with foreign companies. This showed that the CM was trying to fool the people of Konkan.

Patil said that if the CM really wanted to know the views of the Konkan people, he would have done that before signing the pact with the company.
