Nagpur: In what could be termed as a deplorable act, a case of a young man attempting to rape a minor girl has come to fore.
According to police sources, on November 27, 2016, under the jurisdiction of Hingna Police Station, a young man had attempted to rape a 14 year-old minor girl. The accused identified as Gyaneshwar is said to be a relative of the victim.
The incident is said to have occurred on November 27, 2016 when the 24-year-old minor girl had gone to the accompanying jungle like area to graze the goats. The accused Gyaneshwar had approached her and had attempted to commit the heinous act.
When the victim returned home with her goats, she narrated the incident to her parents. Her parents immediately took her to Hingna Police Station and lodged a police complaint. On the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim, the Hingna police have registered a case of attempt to rape against the accused and are investigating further.
