Nagpur: A Bailiff in a Civil Court was heckled and manhandled by three persons including two women when he tried to execute seizure warrant issued by the court. The three accused not only assaulted Bailiff but also put hurdles in government work. The accused have been booked.
The complainant, Sachin Suresh Damke (45), is working in Civil Court as Bailiff. The resident of Hardas Nagar, New Kamptee, Sachin Damke is currently posted at Gandhibagh Division. On Monday (January 23), he was directed by the Civil Court to execute a seizure warrant in a case against the three accused Kisnabai Dashrath Khapekar, Shantabai Jivansingh Thakur and Shailesh Thakur, all residents of Ganjakhet Square, Ward 47, Tehsil area. As the Bailiff reached the area, he was confronted by the three accused. They heckled and manhandled him and prevented him to execute the seizure warrant.
Tehsil API Nagtilak has registered a case against the three accused under Sections 353, 34 of the IPC and probing the matter further.
