City’s Sufiyan Ahmed Mugal selected for 5th International Karate Championship

Nagpur: Sufiyan Ahmed Mugal, a Karate player of MITSUYA-KAI Hayashi-ha Shito-Ryu Karate-Do India’s Hanshi Dr.Zakir Khan has been selected to participate in 5th International Karate Championship to be held Kolkata from July 26 to 28 at Netaji Indoor Stadium. The event is organized by All India Seishinkai Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Federation approved by Karate Association of India (Recognized by Govt. of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports) and Member World Karate Federation (WKF).

Sufiyan Ahmed Mugal, a student of Anjuman English School, Sadar, will take part in Junior (16 & 17 Years) Category for KATA & KUMITE in 52 KG event. He and Dr. Zakir S Khan gave their success credit to Karate Association of India (KAI) Shihan Likha Tara, President-KAI, Hanshi Bharat Sharma, 1st Senior Vice President-KAI, Shihan Viraf Vatcha, Vice President-KAI, Shihan Ambedkar Gupta, General Secretary-KAI, Hanshi Premjit Sen, Chairman, Referee Commission, KAI and Hanshi Dr. Zakir S. Khan-KAI Tournament Commission Member & Technical Director, MITSUYA-KAI India.

Sufiyan Ahmed Mugal and Hanshi Dr. Zakir Khan will leave Nagpur on July 26 at 6:45 am for Kolkata by Indigo flight. They will return to Nagpur on July 29 at 9:00 pm.
