City girl Aishwarya Falke to present her research paper at IMRF meet in Goa

Nagpur: City girl Aishwarya Falke has been selected to present her research paper on ‘Women Studies’ at an International Conference under IMRF (International Multidisciplinary Research Foundation) to be held in Goa from November 3 to 5, 2016. She will be representing Christ University, Bangalore at the conference. Her research paper highlights the atrocities on women, and how women are treated as ‘Other’ even in today’s contemporary settings by conducting a comparative study of two short stories, Jhumpa Lahiri’s “Sexy” and Sarah Joseph’s “Inside Every Woman Writer”

Aishwarya is currently pursuing her Masters in English with Communication Studies at Christ University, Bangalore. She completed her graduation in Bachelor of Arts from Hislop College, Nagpur and moved to Bangalore for further studies. She did her schooling form Mount Carmel Girls High and her 11th and 12th from Shivaji Science College, Nagpur. Previously she has also represented RTMNU at state level in “Avishkar,” an Interdisciplinary Research Festival for two consecutive years at Dapoli and Jalgaon respectively.

Aishwarya gives the credits of her achievements to the teachers at Hislop College for guiding her way through Christ University and her supportive parents Rajendra Falke, ex-Air Force personnel and Anuradha Falke, a high school teacher at Madan Gopal Agrawal High School for being her constant support.

She’s also presently interning as an English consultant to the Japanese at a Japanese firm named eigo Paathshala. She likes to write poems and short stories in her leisure times. She has inculcated her writing skills from her grandfather Manohar Talhar, a renowned Marathi writer.
