Nagpur:
The City Congress on Friday staged protests in front of District Collector’s office against the demonetization decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The protest is part of state-wide launched by State Congress.

Shouting slogans against Modi, the Congress workers tried to enter the office of District Collector but policemen, present in large number, foiled their attempt. This led to some tense moments but calm prevailed.

The protest was led by City Congress President Vikas Thakre. Hundreds of workers participated in the agitation. “The Prime Minister’s demonetization decision has led to collapse of nation’s economy. Common people are suffering no end. The cash withdrawal limits from banks as well as ATMs should immediately be raised to lessen the problems of citizens. The service charge on PayTM transactions should be waived off,” demanded the agitating Congress leaders and workers through District Collector Sachin Kurve.
