City based Shricon Infrastructure lost Rs 3.30 cr against fake promise of Rs 15.75 cr contract

As they say, your lust lets you lose more than you earn. A real estate firm in the city was caught in the similar situation as its manager ended up losing over Rs 3 crores in the hope of getting a big work contract worth over Rs 15 crore in Bengaluru.

Acting upon the court’s order, Sonegaon police registered the case of fraud and embezzlement of funds to the tune of Rs 3.30 crores against two people and their firm, probably based in Bengaluru. The company proprietors have allegedly promised a work contract worth Rs 15.75 crores to a Nagpur based real estate company – Shricon Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. which has its office in Rajiv Nagar off Wardha road here. Police have registered the case against M/s Shree Devi Project Pvt. Ltd., Mrs Bolun Themeyan alias Bitty Shridevi and Ravishankar Sanganna for the fraud.
Manager at Shricon Infrastructure Amil Pongulwar, 33 had approached Sonegaon police with the complaint that the Bitty Shridevi and Ravishankar Sanganna had promised him contract for a huge construction work worth Rs 15.75 crores in Bengaluru. They asked for Rs 3.30 crores in the name of depositing earnest money. The amount was reportedly paid between March 2008 and June 2012.

Later when the accused failed to live up to their promise, Amit moved court against the fraud. The court then ordered Sonegaon police to register the case against the concerned people.
