: There are many State Government agencies which offer many services to the citizens of the city. However, many redressals arise in citizens availing these services. Under this new scheme, a Samadhan Shibir (Redressal Camp) is organized under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister.  So far, these Redressal Camps (Samadhan Shibirs) have been already organized in four Vidhan Sabha Constituencies.

After the directives of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, these Redressal Camps which were organized in Constituencies will now be organized in Zonal levels. From August 9, 2016 to August 12, 2016, this Redressal Camp will be organized for redressing complaints and grievances of Laxmi Nagar Zone. This camp will be organized at the Vidarbha Vaigyanik Vikas Mahamandal premises.

These Redressal Camps will be held in the next few days in all the 10 zones of the city. Many grievances of the citizens will be redressed in these Camps related to various departments coming in direct contact with citizens including MSEB, NIT, NMC, District Collectorate, Land Survey Department etc.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is availing the help of these Redressal Camps to redress the complaint of the citizens of his own city. Many citizens do come to these Redressal Camps with their complaints and grievances. In order to redress these grievances, such Redressal Camps have been continuously being organized.

However, it could be mentioned here that after the BJP-Shiv Sena Alliance took over government of the state, Chief Minister himself had initiated the Service Guarantee Scheme (Seva Guarantee Scheme). Under this law, every citizen has the right to get the services in a pre-decided time frame. Not only has this State also had a Lok Shahi Din (Democracy Day).

Under the Lok Shahi Din Yojana, the officials of all departments will have to listen to the grievances and complaints of the citizens on the first Monday of every month and should also resolve the grievances.

In-spite of the initiation of both this schemes, the citizens of Chief Minister’s own city have to rely on the Redressal Camps to get their grievances resolved.

A question then raises, that in spite of laws existing, the complaints of the citizens do not get resolved.

According to Guardian Minister, while answering this question, he said these camps are organized to provide more and more ease and liberty to air their problems and grievances. One more cause for this is because very few problems are brought to fore in the Service Guarantee Scheme.
