Video: Chief Justice Patil to inaugurate regional conference on mediation in city on Jan 12

Nagpur: Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority and Main Mediation Monitoring Committee, Bombay High Court, and Mediation Monitoring Sub-Committee, Nagpur in coordination with District Legal Services Authority, Nagpur, are organising a regional conference on the subject “Mediation: Capacity Building, Issues and Challenges” on January 12 in city.

The conference will be inaugurated by Chief Justice of Bombay High Court Justice N H Patil at 10.25 am at “Palacio Hall,” Hotel Centre Point, Ramdaspeth, here. Justice A S Oka, Executive Chairman and Chairman of MMMC, Bombay High Court, Justice S C Dharmadhikari, Chairman, Bombay High Court Juvenile Justice Committee, Justice B R Gavai, Chairman, Bombay High Court Legal Services Committee, Mumbai, Justice R V More, Member, MMMC High Court of Bombay and Chairman MMSC, Aurangabad and Justice R K Deshpande, Chairman, High Court Legal Services Sub Committee, Nagpur, will prominently grace the occasion.

Justice N H Patil will address the inaugural session of Mediation Conference. During working sessions, Justice A S Oka, Justice S C Dharmadhikari, Justice B R Gavai, and Justice R V More, will share their views with the participants. The theme of the conference is to discuss on the necessity of mediation process in the present days.

The conference will be attended by all the Principal District Judges and judicial officers of Vidarbha region. With a view to encourage mediation activities, the best performing district, trained Judge mediators and referral judges in Nagpur region will be felicitated at the hands of dignitaries. There will three sessions i.e. from 11.40 am to 12.40 pm, from 12.40 pm to 1.40 pm and from 2.50 pm to 3.50 pm in which the Principal District Judges, trained Judge mediators will share their views and experiences.

The Principal District Judge and Chairman of District Legal Services Authority, Nagpur, Shashikant B Savale and his team is working hard for success of the conference.
