Chidambara Bar & Hotel owner, 5 others booked for thrashing a man, vandalism, theft

Bajaj Nagar police have booked a group of six persons including the owner of Ramdaspeth-based Chidambara Bar & Hotel on the charges of detaining a 47-year old man, thrashing him and vandalism. The accused have also been booked for theft. One of the accused has been arrested.

The accused have been identified as Nilam Agrawal, the owner of Ramdaspeth-based Chidambara Bar & Hotel, Vipin Haribhau Sapate, Anil Rathi, Mangesh Kadav, Suraj and their one unidentified accomplice. The complainant Indar Adumal Keshwani (47), resident of Plot No. 16, Pritam Vihar, Automotive Square, Kamptee Road, told police that the six accused, around 3.30 pm on Wednesday, on the issue of vacating the hotel, thrashed him and detained him in another room. The accused also indulged in vandalism and theft.

Bajaj Nagar PSI G E Kaluse has registered a case against the six accused under Sections 143, 147, 149, 323, 341, 379, 427, 452 of the IPC read with Sub-Section 135 of Bombay Police Act. One of the accused Vipin Haribhau Sapate (47), resident of Plot No. 438, Anand Nagar, has been arrested.
