Chartered Accountants are the backbone of Indian Economy – Dayashankar Tiwari

Nagpur News : Nature has created the entire body with various nerves which have to perform some specific function. All these nerves are separated through the backbone of our body to perform their functions. If any particular nerve does not function, it will paralyze a particular organ. Chartered Accountants play a role of Backbone for the Indian Economy, says Shri Dayashankar Tiwari, who was talking as the chief guest in the Inaugural program of “Chorus – 2013” The Youth Festival, organized by Nagpur Branch of WICASA. He mentioned, CA Students who will be becoming the backbone of this country should not only be proud to be an Indian but also they should adopt a clean character. Our country has the proud history where we had distinguished personalities like Bhagat Singh, Swami Vivekanand, Rani Laxmibai, etc who have achieved a lot for this country at a very young age. The present youth are the representatives of such historic personalities and they should be ready to work as the backbone of our economy and our country so that they can fulfill the expectations of the people.

Earlier, Immediate Past President, CA Jaydeep Shah mentioned that over a period of time, I have seen the total change in the approach of the Institute as far as development of knowledge and skills of a CA Students is concerned. Earlier, ICAI was only focusing on the Academics. But over a period of time ICAI have realized that apart from Academics, Non-Academics also play a very important role. He added, that across India I have never seen so many numbers of activities being organized so well in the youth festival. He congratulated for organizing the wonderful youth festival which plays a very important role in the development of skills amongst the CA students.

Regional Council Member, CA. Julfesh Shah in his brief remarks, mentioned that in the Present Scenario, clearing examination and becoming CA is not the only important thing. It is very important that for the overall development of a personality of a CA student, Non-Academic skills should also be developed. Though ITT and GMCS are made compulsory, such youth festival provide a platform to CA students to develop and express non-academic skills as well. Students should grab this opportunity and should participate in the various activities being organized for two days.

Chairman of Nagpur Branch of ICAI, CA. Swapnil Agrawal mentioned that every year this chorus is organized for CA students, with lot of efforts being put by not only the committee members but also number of volunteers, who work day in and day out for the success of this signature event of Nagpur. He appreciated the work of all the volunteers in organizing this mega youth festival.

Earlier, Chairman of Nagpur Branch of WICASA, CA. Sandeep Jotwani, in his welcome address mentioned that CA students are always busy with studies and office work. The concept of Chorus was to let CA student do things which are totally different from their routine. He congratulated all the participants not only for attending but for helping themselves in developing their overall personality.

Anshuman Chhaterjee and Ms. Tejaswini Maroo Co-ordinated the program whereas Harsh Deora proposed formal vote of thanks. Prominently present were CA. Ashwini Agrawal, CA. Kirti Agrawal, CA. Kirit Kalyani, CA. Umang Agrawal, Adil Ansari, Ganesh Motlani, Tejas Suchak, Prateek Sarda, Grishma Mehta and around 450 CA students.
