Chaos as drunk accused creates ruckus in Ajni Police Station

Nagpur: The Ajni Police Station on Wednesday night witnessed chaotic scene when a rampaging drunk accused youth created ruckus and jolted the cops present there. Even the Police Inspector Pawar, who was present there, tried to pacify the accused but to no avail. Ultimately, the accused was put behind the bars and now he is cooling his heels in police station.

According to sources, around 8 pm on Wednesday, the policemen in the Ajni Police Station were busy in their usual chores. A few women had come there to report chain-snatchings. Some office-bearers of Ganesh Mandals too were present. Meanwhile, two jawans of DB Squad brought the accused Lokesh and his brother to police station. However, even before entering the police station, the accused Lokesh started creating ruckus and charged the DB Squad men of recovering “hapthas” forcefully every month. Boiling with anger, the accused started hurling filthy abuses on policemen and posed menacingly towards the cops as he was ready to fight.

Targeting the cops, the accused Lokesh manhandled a constable and snatched his name strip. Later, shouting and abusing the cops, Lokesh ran towards entry gate of police station and started banging his head on the walls. As he started bleeding, cops tried to overpower him. The brother of the accused also tried to calm him down but Lokesh went on exposing spree by leveling allegations and allegations. Hearing the commotion, Police Inspector Pawar came out of his cabin and first tried to pacify the rampaging accused. But when the drunk Lokesh threatened to go out of control, the policemen displayed their “basic instincts” and bashed him severely.

Peace prevailed in the Police Station after the rampaging accused Lokesh and his brother were pushed into lock up to cool their heels.
