The job opportunities in Butibori industrial area in Nagpur District and Vidarbha as well are in for a major push as the giant tyre, tube producing company – Ceat – is setting up its mega project in the area. The Ceat Limited, flagship company of RPG Enterprises having an annual turnover of Rs 20,000 crore, has recently submitted a proposal to Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Nagpur, demanding a 50-acre land in Butibori industrial area for production of tyres, tubes and other related components on zero-pollution basis. The land is being made available to the company.
The Ceat Ltd, having an annual turnover of Rs 6,000 crore itself, in the first stage will invest Rs 400 crore and provide 1200 people the jobs at its mega project. The giant company, till the final stage, is going to make 2850 jobs available to youths by investing Rs 1200 crore. A detailed proposal in this regard has been submitted by the company to MIDC Nagpur. Along with the proposal, the company has submitted a guarantee letter stating that the actual production will start within two years. On its part, the MIDC Nagpur, since the mega project is starting production within two year on zero-pollution basis, is dispatching a letter informing the Ceat Ltd that the land is going to be made available to it, said a press release issued by Regional Officer, MIDC Nagpur.
