News Delhi/Nagpur: AAP suspends primary membership of sacked minister Sandeep Kumar: Sources.
Kumar was sacked by chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday evening after receiving an ‘objectionable’ CD in which he was purportedly shown in a compromising position with a woman.
The decision to remove the 36-year-old minister was taken at a high-level meeting attended by top AAP leaders and the announcement was made by Kejriwal himself through a tweet.
Kumar, however, insisted that he had resigned on moral grounds.
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Thursday that Kumar had betrayed the AAP movement.
Taking a high moral ground for “promptly sacking” Sandeep Kumar, Kejriwal said that AAP never tries to cover up wrong doings of its leaders.
