Cancelled MSW Viva voce to be conducted from July 11

The Viva-Voce Examination of the second year (old course) which is part of the Practicals and a vital part of the Masters of Social Work curriculum in Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), was cancelled at the last moment on Monday the June 30, 2014 is now scheduled to be conducted on July 11-12, 2014. The University has issued a notification of the same on its official website on July 4.

It may be mentioned here that around 300 students of various MSW Colleges were sent message by SMS last week informing them to appear for their Viva Voce Examination scheduled to be held at Purushottam Thote College. These students have had already given their written examination, the results of which are expected to be announced soon. But their Viva Voce had not been conducted as yet. However, on Monday, when these students reached the examination centre for Viva Voce they were told that it is cancelled.

Enraged by this, the students stormed into the RTMNU Registrar’s office with their grievances under the aegis of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Sena (ABVP). The students were then told to put their plea to Controller of Examination (RTMNU).The students then met the COE, Vilas Ramteke and apprised him about the issue.

Taking cognizance of this, the COE has assured of conducting the Viva Voce in next 4 days, the schedule of which has been uploaded on the university website.
