Cables, meters worth Rs 7.70 lakh stolen from company premises in Wadi; 2 booked

Nagpur News : Two men were booked by Wadi police on Wednesday for stealing plastic coated cable and MM meter collectively worth Rs 7.70 lakh. The theft occurred between May 23 and June 10.

Ashokkumar Dubey (30), a native of Madhya Pradesh and Thapa (50), a resident of Gittikhadan have been booked in this regard. Police said plastic coated cables of Poly Company and 120 MM meters were kept in the open space at Lhava Sonba Nagar, Mouja No. 202/3, and two rooms of Cement bricks. The accused stole the plastic coated cable worth Rs 7.10 lakh and 120 MM meters worth Rs 60,000.

A security guard Sachin Nahata discovered the theft and lodged a complaint against Ashok and Thapa with Wadi police. Cops registered an offence under Sections 381 and 34 of the IPC and started their investigations.
