Road-Accident
Nagpur: A young life was sniffed out by a recklessly driven bus on the busy North Ambazari Road on Wednesday afternoon. The narrowing down of the road due to Metro Rail work apparently led to the accident.

The deceased, Abhijit Sonba Buwade (20), was native of Deopur village, Dhule but was currently staying at his maternal uncle’s house at Plot No. 42, Yogadan Layout, for study. Around 2.30 pm on Wednesday, Abhijit was going on his motorcycle (MH-18/AC 6890) towards Shankar Nagar Square from Alankar Talkies Square on North Ambazari Road. Midway near Metro Pole No. 240 in front of vacant NIT land, the rashly driven bus (MH-40/BG 1954), hit Abhijit’s bike. As a result, he fell on the road with forceful impact and suffered critical injuries. Abhijit died on the spot even before medical help could be extended to him. The driver of the bus has not been identified.

Bajaj Nagar police constable Tarade, based on a complaint lodged by Abhijit’s uncle Chandrashekhar Madhav Banger (58), booked the bus driver under Sections 279, 304(A) of the IPC. Further probe is underway.
