Burglary of ornaments and cash worth Rs 2, 72,000/-

Nagpur: In two separate incidents of burglary which were reported in the last 24 hours, ornaments and cash worth Rs 2, 72,000/-were stolen.

In the first incidence, according to Pachpaoli police sources, Suresh Borkar aged 63 years and a resident of Buddha Nagar, Pachpoli had locked his house in July 3, 2015 and had gone to his son Pankaj Borkar’s house in Mumbai. On his return on July 5, 2015, he found that the lock of his house was broken and articles scattered in his house as well as gold and silver ornaments and cash of Rs 5000/- were missing. He immediately lodged a complaint with Pachpaoli Police Station, which has registered a case of burglary and further investigations and underway.

In the second incident, the complainant Jitendra Yadav and a resident of Noori Colony, Nara Road lodged a complaint with Jaripatka Police Station that on July 5, 2015, he had locked his house and had gone to his sister’s house in Paloti Nagar. On return he found that the lock on his front door was broken open and some gold and silver ornaments and cash of Rs 60,000/- in all valuables worth Rs 1,12,600/- (Rupees One lakh twelve thousand six hundred) were missing.

On the basis of the complaint lodged by complainant Jitendra Yadav, the Jaripatka Police registered a case against unknown accused and is investigating further.
