Burglars strike in a big house-breaking way, rob owners of collective booty worth Rs 8,60,000

Nagpur News: In a house-breaking incident, the thieves struck a bounty of gold jewellery and a cash collectively valued at Rs 7,00,000.

According to police, one Rupesh Sureshchandra Baheti (28), a resident of Bangalipanja Chand Mohalla, had gone to Amravati to attend a “Gruhpravesh” ceremony of one of his relatives. At the same time, some burglar or burglars took advantage of the easy situation and entered Rupesh’s house by breaking open the lock. They straightaway went to the bedroom and cleared the Almirah of gold jeweler worth Rs 2,00,000 and a cash of Rs 5,00,000 without any hitch.

However, when Rupesh returned home, he was shocked to find the lock broke open, and, was relieved of the booty, too. Acting on a complaint lodged by Rupesh, PSI Jeevankar of Tehsil Police Station registered an offence against the accused burglars under Sections 454, 457, 380 of IPC and probing the matter further.

JARIPATKA THEFT: In another case of house-breaking , one Sohel Yasim Khan Chisti (34) was jolted to the core when some unidentified thieves vanished a booty worth Rs 1,60,000. According to police, Sohel and his family had gone to his grandmother’s house in Pachpaoli to attend Kude Sharif Festival. In the meanwhile, some unidentified criminals smashed the door lock and entered his house Plot No 53, Nara Road, Jaripatka area. The goons robbed Sohel by way of stealing a camera, gold jewellery, and a cash Rs 11,000 collectively valued at Rs 1,60,000.

 

PSI Barsagade of Jaripatka Police Station registered an offence against the accused burglars under Sections 454, 457, 380 of IPC and is probing the matter further.
