Burglars strike at Dheeran Kanya School, house in Dharampeth; booty worth Rs 3.36 lakh stolen

Nagpur: Desperadoes struck at Dheeran Kanya School, Sitabuldi and a house in Dharampeth and decamped with electronics goods and gold-silver ornaments collectively worth Rs 3.36 lakh.

In the burglary reported at Dheeran Kanya School situated near Jhansi Rani Square, Sitabuldi, the electronics goods including 12 computer monitors, two cameras and eight hard discs worth Rs 72,000 were stolen from Computer Room. Based on a complaint registered by school’s Headmistress Anita Pal, Sitabuldi police have booked the unidentified thieves and searching for them.

In Dharampeth Zenda Square area, the house of Rajesh Humanilal Karvat (61), was targeted by burglars. The gold ornaments, valued at Rs 2.64 lakh, kept in the wooden almirah were swept away by the miscreants between 10 am of Wednesday and 9 pm of Thursday. Sitabuldi PSI Wankhede has registered an offence under Section 380 of IPC and investigating the case further.
