Nagpur: Some unidentified miscreants broke into a house under Sonegaon police and decamped booty worth Rs 1.87 lakh on Sunday. Police have registered a case of theft on the basis of complaint filed by Madhav Dattatray Lomte (63), a resident of plot no. 9, Rautwadi ,Bhende layout .
According to police sources Lomte had gone outside for some work on January 31 between 8 pm to 11 pm. During the same, some unidentified miscreants reportedly broke into the house and decamped gold ornaments worth Rs 1.87 lakh.
The matter came into fore when Lomte returned at night he found the latch of the main door open and their house is in ransacked state.
Following which, Lomte approached Sonegaon police and filed a complaint. Based on the complaint, Sonegaon cops have registered a case under Sections 457,380 of the IPC, Further probe is underway.
