Burglars become richer by Rs 7,88,000

Nagpur News: In one more incident of house-breaking, burglars targeted a house in Telecom Nagar and made a clean sweep of a booty worth Rs 7,88,000.

According to police, one Vijay Mallikarjun Shelewarkar (35), a resident of Flat No. A( 1), Shiva Apartment, Pandurang Gawande Layout, Telecom Nagar, had gone to Kukde Layout for overlooking company’s construction work. Other family members, too, were out of station. Taking advantage of the easy situation, the criminals entered Vijay’s house by breaking open the door lock and swept gold jewellery and a big cash Rs 7,00,000 kept in an almirah.

The theft came to notice when Vijay returned home and saw the dreadful picture of his bedroom. He immediately came to know that he has been relieved of his bounty and rushed to the Pratap Nagar Police Station. The PSI Pandav filed Vijay’s complaint in this regard and registered an offence against the accused. Police are searching for the burglars.
