Builder booked for unnatural sex with juvenile

NAGPUR: An FIR has been filed against builder Yogesh Punjabi at Wani police station in Yavatmal district on the charges of having unnatural sex with a juvenile boy from Nagpur. The accused has although secured a conditional anticipatory bail by depositing Rs 25,000. Yogesh has been asked not to leave Wani and the country and be present at the police station whenever police summons him.

Yogesh Punjabi run a hotel at Bajaj Nagar in Nagpur in partnership with a politician. The victim alleged that Yogesh first lured him with the promise of offering him a job and took him to Wani on the pretext of showing him an under-construction building there. He then offered Ganja and liquor to the boy, who refused to consume it. Yogesh then forcibly showed him porn clips from his mobile phone and attempted unnatural sex with him. The boy somehow managed to escape from the site.

The victim then suffered from depression and was admitted to Neuron Hospital at Dhantoli in Nagpur for several months. When he recovered, he repeatedly went to Wani police station to file a report against Yogesh Punjabi. However, every time the officials at the police station mocked and threatened him. The victim claimed that he had an audio recording of one such incident at the police station, where he was abused and threatened.

The victim then approached Yavatmal’s Superintendent of Police (SP), who directed police officials to immediately file a case against Yogesh Punjabi.

When contacted, accused Yogesh Punjabi said he didn’t know the boy and that the work at the said building had been stopped for a year now.
