Nagpur: In a broad day light incident of loot, three bike borne youths robbed a petrol pump supervisor of Rs 16 lakh. The incident took place on Monday opposite SBI bank in Defence area under Wadi police station.
Sources said Jaimal Indraj Yadav, 65, works as a supervisor at Bharat Petrol Pump at Bazargaon. He often visit SBI’s Defence branch to deposit the cash from petrol pump. When he arrived at the bank on Monday in a four wheeler, he was soon intercepted by 3 men allegedly riding a black Pulsar bike. They attacked Yadav with a rod, leaving him injured, and snatched away the bag filled with Rs 16 lakh cash from him.
Jaimal Yadav, who is an ex-serviceman has been admitted to the nearby private hospital. Senior police officials including a crime branch squad have also reached the spot.
